Dante’s divine comedy

The ultimate piece of pop art. Epic poem. One man’s journey between three realms—Inferno, Purgatorio, and Paradiso. My personal favorite is the mountain of pugatory and its design based on the seven deadly sins.
Divine comedy is comparable to — Star Wars original trilogy, Blonde, Evangelion, and The Velvet Underground. BTW saying this never seen any of those 4 things

'The Divine Mimesis'

pasolini rewrote the early cantos of the inferno in prose and updated it to the 60s. pulling an all nighter reading a pdf of it and i'm absolutely enrapt, he was a genius of the highest calibre.

the Carboniferous period

bacteria/microbes had not yet evolved to decompose trees (bark fiber lignin) so for a period of 60m years, dead trees/wood just piled up on the ground what a cool time
