My girlfriend and I threw a dinner party a month ago and one of our guests asked the group: "Who is your celebrity nemesis?"
Since then, I've been dropping this little conversational prompt whenever there's a silence that needs to be filled or a vibe that needs livening. It's so much more interesting than asking someone their celebrity hall pass, and it's a great way to indulge your inner hater without hurting anyone's feelings.
For the record: my celebrity nemesis is Lin Manuel-Miranda.

almost everyone I’ve asked has one, even my grandma (Julio Iglesias). asking people theirs is often an interesting insight into their mind (what do they look like but also what is this person famous for). And it’s fun cause it’s basically meaningless

this is more just smth i've been thinking about lol but whatever.
obviously most celebrities are actors/singers/ppl in show business but i think we need to diversify! get me some celebrity librarians! i want a celebrity plumber to walk at the met gala! we've got some celebrity chefs but they usually have tv shows and such so that barely counts. i want to buy a memoir from a celebrity taxi driver and read a headline about the cheating scandal of a celebrity dmv worker!
