So I’ve been wearing the same 3 beanies in rotation for the last month and I don’t think I will ever wear another beanie ever again. They fit great, the colors are amazing, they wash well! Fred did such an amazing job with these and he’s honestly becoming one of my favorite designers. I’m really excited to see what he has coming next. Keep your eyes on Fred!

🚩I heard of William Ellery through a Van Neistat youtube video (which honestly sub-rec, I’ve been pretty into his youtube recently, as someone trying to get better at being “handy”). According to William Ellery’s brand info page, a main goal is to advance the ideal that “it is vital to preserve the instinct to explore”. This comes through in a manner of really creative and interesting ways. There are “keepsake hats” with nylon mesh strapped over the logo (using a fisherman’s knot) providing a little strap-in area for keepsakes, “seatpack chairs “ fashioned out of what seems to be an inflatable dinghy, and of course the legendary wool socks, to be worn year-round. The design feels like an evolution beyond Tom Sachs, where the founder worked as a lead designer, with an oft hand-drawn logo and utilitarian materials everywhere. Each item feels very imaginitive and super cohesive, like they’re all a prop in some sequel to moonrise kingdom.

One of my favourite designers as of recent, Karston Kroening, is dropping a new collection this year titled 'Seraphim'. A couple of the pieces are already online on his store but some of my favourite pieces have yet to be released. I really like how he takes influence from everywhere in his life, for example, his 'RAZIEL 001 CREWNECK' takes inspiration from Neon Genesis Evangelion, where as his currently unreleased parka he showcased in his most recent pickups video on his youtube channel takes inspiration from old duck hunting jackets his father used to wear. All of his work from this upcoming collection seems to have really unique patterning which Karston describes as 'Mecha Angelic Patterning'. He also dropped an amazing collection with Sam Liepke inspired by Karston's rural upbringing, mixed with a more sleek and modern take on fashion. His work is really intriguing to me and I hope to be able to own something from him soon.

📚Two of my all time favorite creative thinkers and people, Sean Murray and Nick Massarelli, run a publication called First Last and it’s been a year since their last release. However, I recently found out that they’re looking to release their next issue in April and it’s been one of my favorite pieces of news in months! I’ve bought every single issue and I will continue to do so!

🎵I don’t know about you guys but music is top on my list for helping me get through the day. One of my favorite places to check for music is SoundCloud and one of my favorite people on there is lowiron. She does an absolutely amazing job mixing techno, house, and electronic tracks and she’s only been doing it for a few months!! Not to mention she’s really funny on twitter too, love her to death!

🎶Man, drink some Yerba Mate and play this in the background, I promise you will finish your to-do list in the next 45mins hahahah. I’ve been getting really into drum and bass music and this is one of my favorites. Youtube has a ton of gems and this is one of the few that I’ve found, such an amazing resource for music. Fun fact: I made this list of recommendations while listening to this :)
