Maryam Nassir Zadeh’s menswear, which she designs with stylist Thistle Brown, is extremely underrated. I would buy this sweater vest in every color if I could. It’s the ideal weight and shape (slightly cropped and boxy) for wearing over a T-shirt, especially if you go up one size. I hate when my close friends and I wear the same thing, but we all have an MNZ sweater vest and I don’t even mind.

this particular sweater (a rare luxury from me) in the rotation as New York weather drops. eternally stylish, cozy in all places but not uncomfortable enough that you'll sweat on a commute

If you were to poll a large swathe of people as to whether cashmere is over or underrated, I really have no clue what the consensus would be; but I think cashmere is underrated. I was not a sweater person for quite a while but have become one and culled a pretty decent collection of knitwear that I like to pull from when I want to dress to impress. Anyway, cotton sweaters are a bit too pedestrian, merino a tad too formal and while I love shetland, it can be a itchy and requires intentional layering. Cashmere balances all of the best elements of the aforementioned knits and feels delightful on the skin. I recommend you pick one up and not from Uniqlo (or insert other high street brand) - I like Ralph, Loro Piana, Malo. How pompous do I sound?

In an effort to sweater up for winter, I recently copped the Wythe donegal wool raglan sweater in “seashell”. It’s perfectly warm and cozy, fits exactly as I want it to - not tight or pulling at the waist but not oversized - and just hits that vibe — that it factor I can’t really specifically name. Buy it! Wear it! Be happy! You deserve it!

Czech photographer Marie Tomanova has dope style and takes beautiful flicks documenting NYC youth culture. She has a new monograph out at the end of September called New York, New York that I can’t wait to get. (Full disclosure: I’m in it lmao.) Marie has one of the most infectious senses of optimism that I’ve ever encountered, and her first book, Young American, caught fire when it came out in 2019 because of how hopeful and empowered her subjects appear. Like Young American, NY, NY is probably going to sell out and become one of those rare coffee table books that occasionally comes up on Japanese eBay for $1,000, so shoutout to Antwaun Sargent who’s bringing me back a copy from the Rencontres d'Arles photo festival where it was announced.

I went out of town for almost a month recently, and the only thing I wished I had packed was my Goshi exfoliating towel. I hang it in my shower and use it a couple times a week and it makes my skin feel clean clean. It’s the best $15 you’ll ever spend on grooming. The one I have is a limited edition Golf Wang x Goshi collaboration, which is hilarious, but Tyler has great skin so it checks out. My other exfoliation tip is Byredo hand scrub, which make your hands feel super soft and smell incredible.

I started watching Clarkson’s Farm the other night, the Top Gear of agriculture hosted by Jeremy Clarkson, who bought a 1000 acre estate in the Cotswolds in 2008 and then decided to farm it himself in 2019 when the local guy who managed it retired. In the first episode Jeremy buys a huge Lamborghini tractor, which is basically the only triumphant moment in the battle of man vs. nature that follows. You get the sense that Jeremy deeply regrets pitching the series in the first place. Meanwhile I'm hooked on browsing Lamborghini tractors online.
