Gross, but: I love seeing aestheticians post gnarly extractions on Instagram. While scrolling through the #extractions hashtag a few months ago, I realized that car detailers use the hashtag too. Watching these people suction years worth of dirt and grime out of car seats is my favorite smooth brain activity. I don’t have a car! I (can but) don’t drive! I don’t even know how you get a car so dirty!

My favorite emoji is the one that’s the silhouette of a person running their mouth — it means I’m gossiping, hollering, giving instructions or delivering a demand. 🖼Getting shit framed is, by a wide margin, the most adult thing I do. It’s luxurious! I started framing magazines I’d written cover stories for — silly, stupidly celebratory — and now I frame movie posters and stills. (I’m addicted to Posteritati.) Framing is more than an errand, it’s a ritual. It’s a way of saying: “I love this $100 and a custom cut piece of glass-worth.” I go to Framebridge because it’s closest to my apartment.

🥃A store in Greenpoint that feels like a Nora Ephron column. It sells “dinner and party essentials,” which means: caviar, tinned fish, various prosciuttos and cheeses, kooky drinkware, these gluten free crackers I love that don’t taste gluten free. Also: Big Night is the title of a very good Stanley Tucci movie.
