Anyone who really knows me knows that I love to play games. This one, what are the odds, is one of my go-toās, especially when youāre in a space where there are alot of strangers and no oneās really doing anything except drink expensive martinis or cheap dive bar beer. We usually play with odds from 1-10, higher risk to dare your friends to do something out of the ordinary. To play, one person presents the ādareā for example, āWhat are the odds you go up to that guy in the fedora and ask if you can try his hat on?ā Then, on the count of 3, both parties say a number between 1 and 10. If they say the same number, then the dare must be done. The game proceeds and the fun keeps your night exciting til you canāt do it anymore, you usually walk away with some new friends or at least some good stories.

We also play a game where we all try to rapid fire say the same word. So we all stand around in a circle, someone counts down, and then everyone says a word and then you look hard into each othersā eyes and say things like āI think weāre all on the same pageā and āweāve got it this timeā and then keep saying words until you all say the same one word. Sounds incredibly stupid but is amazingly fun. I recommend doing this outdoors with 3+ people. does this make sense??

šIt probably has a better name but this is what everyone I know has called it. Itās a classic with simple rules that everyone can follow. You put a famous or well known persons name on the head of the person next to you and you go round asking 1 yes or no question at a time until someone guessed their person, then theyve won. You can then continue until everyone has guessed theirs correctly. This is a great one when people are feeling less creative/energised so donāt want to do anything like charades. a good end of the night game when wine or time have slowed you all down.

Hereās a snippet from a recent one, āI had to put on a gown in the tiniest bathroom. A famous actress grabs my hand and we run to a huge empty room with carpet everywhere. Rolling around on the floor laughing and then sheās crying to me telling me really sad things that are going on in her life. I really wanted to take a picture of the tears on her face but felt like i couldnāt.

ā±I visited Egypt last year in March for the first time with my good friend, Rafik, who grew up in Cairo. A group of 5 of us traveled to the small oasis town of Siwa, which was an 8 hour escapade through the desert in a van, down one road where we got stopped at 6 military checkpoints. They look at your passport and inside your bags, and let you keep going. Siwa is the most magical place Iāve ever been to ā the story of Aladdin was supposedly written there, the landscape is straight out of National Geographic, and the people are the sweetest, most chaste souls. We spent 4 days there - I didnāt use the internet once, everyday we went on an adventure somewhere in nature, I woke up every morning at 6am and I ate the best food from a garden.

š¬Thereās a weird phenomenon in New York where you keep all your contacts from everyone else who might take something away from you - itās mostly oriented around career. BUT! Guess what? Nothing matters. Who cares? People are going to work with who they want to work with, you might as well put in a good word, I believe karma is a real thing. I love talking about my friends' accolades to people they donāt know, you never know what could come of it. Surround yourself with unselfish, soft human people, and the rest is history.
