In the past couple of years, I’ve found myself in places I didn’t want to be—situations that made me feel awful, uncomfortable, or just plain bored. Half the time, I didn’t even want to be there in the first place. I’m usually more introverted. I just like to chill—kind of like a human version of a bear. But my friends are super social, and as sweet as they are, I always get invited to everything. So I started thinking: maybe I should push myself out of my comfort zone more, but at the same time, I don’t want to force myself into situations I feel like (as opposed to knowing) I won’t enjoy. Would that help me grow, or should I just accept who I am and stick to what feels right for me? I’m not sure what to think. What’s been your experience?
