I’ve been on the quest of finding a gut wrenching romance book that preferably does not have the doomed love trope — I’m looking for the “oh my god this love is so beautiful” kind of hurt & not “oh well this was really sad” — I have nothing against romance books at all but I find that I do enjoy lit fics more and haven’t been successful with romance books so far but open to suggestions!!
