I live in New Zealand and we have a band called Six60 that sucks up all the local radio air time, is constantly touring the country, and attending their show has practically become a rite of passage within our mainstream culture. I always wondered if there were bands or artists like Six60 who are absolutely killing it in their home country but are practically non existent beyond those borders. Or is NZ so isolated that we are an anomaly in such things?
