I'm listening to the new Everything Everything album and I can't help but feel like they just know what they're going for and have continued improving and elevating their sound album after album. Also coming to mind was the 5-6 album run that Prince had when he dropped Dirty Mind, 1999, Around the World in a Day, etc (can't remember the order off the top of my head).
