Elusin is a Norwegian-American artist and producer. My first exposure to her music was via the 2021 track Silhouette, a fresh take on the “witch house” genre that combined her delicate vocals with crunchy reverbed-out guitars and cloudy trap beats produced by Sematary of the Haunted Mound Collective. I raved about her unique sound on my old 1-rec-a-day newsletter T-Recs around the time that her album SYNFUELS came out, one of the best “witch house” projects of this decade. I’d been sitting on her PI recs for months, waiting for a good time to drop this, and suddenly, out of the blue, she dropped her long awaited follow-up single. The song is called .410 and it’s a sparse slow burn that builds up to some distorted production near the back half where her distinct ethereal vocals shine through the noise. She tells me there’s more new music on the way, so stay tuned. Lucky for us, Elusin is here to tell us what she’s into.
