counter-point coming to terms with where you grew up and taking on a new found appreciation as u grow older and move further away. i now find myself being sort of charmed by things that used to really bother me, and i understand myself better

As someone without really a hometown, I think there’s something really beautiful about the idea of having a physical setting for your whole childhood. Like a backdrop for the first act of your story. The connection to the place must be intense, even if you don’t love it.
