Today we're featuring Chris D'Amore, a.k.a @THECLACK an early user and supporter of the site. As on OG user of the PI.FYI, we're eager to learn more about Chris's taste. More about Chris below.

I'm from Northeast Mass, now living on the New Hampshire Seacoast. Finding a way for my various creative projects (film photography/music/creative writing/short films) to support my true passion: having a day job in tech support - or maybe it's the other way around. Currently raising a hilarious kid with my best friend/wife, writing a newsletter about film photography, playing some summer/fall gigs with various folk outfits. In the near future: hoping to release an EP of original music this year and working on a follow-up to my Lost Memory photography magazine.

You might have one near you, and it’s one of the easiest ways to reduce your waste. If the change seems daunting, start with just one or two products like dishwasher detergent or hand soap. Only about 9% of plastic ever produced has been recycled, and although the corporations responsible for this mess have yet to be held responsible, forming sustainable habits still has a lasting impact!

FRESHJAX VAMPEPPER SEASONING

Organic, gluten-free, vegan, and kosher! My wife worked with FreshJax on some social media collaborations, so we were lucky enough to try a bunch of their seasonings. This garlic-forward one is by far my favorite, and I end up cooking with it several times a week. You can put it on pretty much anything!

I plug this movie (nay, film) every chance I get. An even better worm opera than Dune. Possibly the most economical script of all time. I could say more, but why delay your journey into its 96 minutes of Perfection?

NOVELTY FOREVER STAMPS

It took me way too long to realize they just cost the same as regular ones, and I’d rather be sending mail out with Strega Nona branded postage instead of the boring old flag. A well deserved added treat for your penpal or trusty tax professional.

BEING THE PERSON YOU NEEDED WHEN YOU WERE STARTING OUT IN YOUR CREATIVE

Share (solicited) knowledge, let others borrow your equipment, drop the competitive mindset, and talk about what inspires you! Everything I have had the privilege of doing in the creative realm is credited to the people that inspired me, trusted me as a collaborator, or pushed me to grow. Everyone’s coming into this life thing at a different angle, so wherever you are in your artistic journey, there’s a good chance you have something that could aid in someone else’s.
